The City of Manassas consists of 16 departments with an annual operating budget of approximately $132 million. The purchasing division:
- Procures goods and services
- Provides utility inventory warehouse management
- Vendor registration and contract management
- Identifies cost-saving initiatives
- Oversees the establishment and implementation of efficient and effective purchasing policies and procedures
The Purchasing Division is not responsible for the City of Manassas Public Schools. They are an independent authority and have their own purchasing office and procedures.
