Here is a quick guide to help you set out your trash and recycling correctly and reduce the possibility of misses on collection day.

Trash Carts
Trash carts were introduced to the City of Manassas in 2014. The carts were distributed to help residents comply with the new Solid Waste Code and to reduce the number of plastic trash bags on our streets.
The trash carts are for household trash only. Do not use these carts for recycling or yard waste.

All City trash carts are dark gray with a black lid and have:

  • City of Manassas Seal
  • Contact information for the Trashline
  • Words "TRASH ONLY" printed on the lid
  • Serial numbers beginning CM6T or CM9T
